JOB OVERVIEW

As a Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the comprehensive 360-degree personality assessment project for the Department of the Navy (DON) Office of the General Counsel (OGC). Additionally, you will manage two full-time Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), one dedicated to executive-level strategic communications services for OGC and the other responsible for providing administrative support to the Office of the Deputy General Counsel (DGC). In this multifaceted role, you will ensure the successful execution of the assessment project, efficient communication, and effective management of the SMEs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Responsibilities and Duties:

360-Degree Personality Assessment Project Oversight:

  • Lead and oversee the entire 360-degree personality assessment project, ensuring its successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with the DON OGC to facilitate the assessment for approximately 100 OGC personnel.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to the Deputy General Counsel (DGC) on administering the assessments effectively.
  • Work closely with the assessment team to develop tailored assessment questions focused on critical categories, including leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Ensure that assessments are conducted with a minimum of six responses per OGC individual, encompassing superiors, subordinates, peers, and clients.
  • Coordinate with assessed OGC individuals to schedule assessments and deliver confidential, individualized feedback.
  • Personnel Management:
  • Manage two full-time Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) - one specializing in executive-level strategic communications and the other in administrative support services.
  • Provide clear guidance and direction to the strategic communications specialist to support OGC's executive-level management with communication strategies, speechwriting, and public affairs.
  • Supervise the administrative assistant in coordinating meetings, managing schedules, and delivering comprehensive administrative support.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and efficient work environment for the team, ensuring effective communication and task completion.
