Pole Barn Sales Associate - $30/Hour + Benefits

Location: Westmoreland, NY 13490 Position: Full-Time | In-Person

Do you know construction and enjoy working with customers? We're looking for a motivated Pole Barn Sales Associate who can talk confidently with contractors, farmers, business owners, and property owners about their building needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the basics of construction and knows how to build relationships, prepare accurate quotes, and turn inquiries into sales. Experience with pole barns, post-frame construction, or metal buildings is a major plus.


Schedule

Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule with your evenings and weekends free.


Compensation & Benefits

  • $30.00 per hour
  • Full Benefits Package

What You'll Be Doing

As a Pole Barn Sales Associate, you'll guide customers from their initial inquiry through the sale. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to incoming leads and pole barn/building inquiries
  • Following up with prospective customers and developing relationships
  • Discussing building needs, dimensions, options, pricing, and timelines
  • Helping customers select the right pole barn or metal building solution
  • Preparing professional quotes and proposals
  • Following up on estimates and closing sales
  • Maintaining accurate customer and lead information
  • Using CRM, email, spreadsheets, and other computer systems
  • Providing excellent service before, during, and after the sale

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is comfortable talking both construction and sales.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Previous sales experience with the ability to listen, present solutions, follow up, and close
  • General knowledge of construction and building fundamentals
  • Pole barn, post-frame, metal building, or related industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good computer skills, including email, CRM systems, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to prepare and explain pricing and quotes
  • A dependable, organized, and self-motivated work style
  • A genuine desire to help customers find the right building solution
