Job description

Preschool Teacher
Pay: $19$24 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
If you are an early childhood educator looking for a school where strong teaching is supported, materials are provided, and leadership is actively involved, we would love to meet you.
This role is built for a teacher who wants to lead a classroom with intention, build meaningful relationships with children and families, and grow in a professional school environment where support is real, not theoretical.
What you will do

  • Lead the daily classroom experience for a group of children
  • Maintain a safe, attentive, and well-managed classroom and playground environment
  • Implement lesson plans and the daily schedule using the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum
  • Observe and assess childrens developmental progress on an ongoing basis
  • Partner with school leadership on student progress meetings and evaluations
  • Create a classroom environment that is organized, engaging, and confidence-building for children
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with parents
  • Set clear expectations for behavior and guide children with consistency and encouragement
  • Collaborate closely with co-teachers and other classroom faculty
  • Help maintain the classroom, shared spaces, and playground areas
  • Attend required faculty meetings, student progress meetings, and school events

Required qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to work collaboratively with classroom faculty and school leadership
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of an active classroom environment
Preferred qualifications (not required)

  • Associates degree, two years of college, or 2 years of relevant experience
  • EEC Teacher certification
  • CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of hire
Professional expectations

  • Follow all school policies and all applicable local, state, and national regulations related to the health, safety, and care of children
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with school expectations
  • Complete required EEC professional development annually
  • Complete required Primrose training within established timelines
