Director of Emergency Services – Full-Time Permanent Position

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico (Zip 88011)
Schedule: Full-Time, Permanent

Drive excellence in our Emergency Department (ED) by leading operations, optimizing patient flow, and championing quality in a fast-paced for-profit hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee ED operations, including triage, staffing, throughput, and emergency response protocols.

  • Build and lead teams emphasizing quality initiatives, risk reduction, and superior patient experience.

  • Cultivate provider relationships to streamline consultations, admissions, and care coordination.

  • Develop ED policies, disaster preparedness plans, and performance dashboards.

  • Ensure compliance with EMTALA, Joint Commission, and federal/state regulations.

  • Manage budgets, supply chain, and staffing models for high-volume, 24/7 operations.

  • Lead root cause analyses, PI projects, and staff development programs.

  • Partner with hospital executives on ED expansion, metrics, and strategic goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current or eligible New Mexico RN license.

  • 7+ years healthcare experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).

  • Proven experience building teams focused on quality initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MSN, Healthcare Administration, MBA).
