CT / X-Ray Technologist โ€“ Day Shift
Craig, CO | Diagnostic Imaging | Permanent | Full-Time

Salary - USD $56,326 to $84,489ย 

Job Description

The CT / X-Ray Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services using X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and CT modalities in a hospital-based Diagnostic Imaging department. The technologist ensures accurate image acquisition, patient and staff safety, and adherence to radiation safety standards while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. This role works collaboratively with radiologists and the imaging team to support timely, accurate diagnoses and an excellent patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform X-ray and Fluoroscopy procedures, including C-arm and operating room (OR) cases.

  • Execute exams in accordance with department protocols and radiologist instructions.

  • Follow ALARA principles to ensure radiation safety and regulatory compliance.

  • Verify imaging orders, confirm patient identity, and provide clear education on exams and procedures.

  • Review patient history, obtain necessary consent, and prepare studies for radiologist interpretation.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including proper charging within EHR, PACS, and related systems.

  • Assist with basic equipment troubleshooting, quality checks, and inventory of imaging supplies.

  • Participate in cross-training and support other imaging modalities and departmental needs as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.

  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT).

  • Active, current state radiologic technologist license (or eligibility to obtain).

  • BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).

  • Working knowledge of PACS and RIS/HIS or similar imaging and hospital information systems.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
