Job Description

The NYC Financial Information Services Agency - Office of Payroll Administration (FISA-OPA) has a vacancy for a PeopleSoft Administrator.
Primary Responsibilities include:
This role will be a technical position responsible for the installation, maintenance, and configuration of PeopleSoft, PeopleTools and associated Middleware infrastructure. Tasks will include supporting the infrastructure of critical Citywide applications, including NYCAPS and related applications. This person will work with various teams, must have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience of PeopleSoft Administration, ideally with the HCM module with North American Payroll
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) who has performed multiple PeopleSoft and PeopleTools upgrades and patch installations using Change Assistant.
- Experience working with different lines of business to fully understand the customizations and modifications of the environment and the impact on the upgrade lifecycle.
- Experience in administration of associated middleware products like, Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, etc.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Has strong knowledge of Server virtualization, PeopleSoft debugging, PeopleSoft tuning
- Has strong knowledge of PeopleSoft with Oracle RAC Architecture integration and configuration
- Has strong knowledge of PeopleSoft and PeopleTools on UNIX, with AIX and RHEL preferred
- Ability to plan and prioritize work and meet project deadlines
- Must be self-motivated and work well with other groups
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of development and configuration management tools (Rational Suite preferred).
- Understanding of standard SDLC methodologies.
- Proficient in relational databases and table structure.
- Ability to plan, manage time according to schedules, and provide status updates required.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
- Strong MS Office 2010 and later; including Visio, Excel and MS-Access.

2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to datacenter engineering and operations, cloud engineering and operations, complex IT infrastructure engineering; or,
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
