Pediatric Medical Director

The Company: Our client is a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible healthcare services throughout the Florida Panhandle. Their focus is on delivering exceptional patient care while improving the health and well-being of underserved communities.

The Position

Our client is seeking a Pediatric Medical Director to lead the development and growth of their pediatric program while maintaining an active outpatient practice. This physician leader will play a key role in shaping clinical strategy, mentoring providers, improving quality outcomes, and expanding pediatric services across the organization.

Requirements

  • MD or DO Degree
  • Board Certified Pediatrics
  • Active Florida Medical License or Ability to Obtain
  • Active DEA Registration
  • Minimum of 5 Years of Pediatric Clinical Experience Preferred
  • Leadership, Medical Director, or Program Development Experience Preferred
  • Eligible for Credentialing and Privileging

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care
  • Lead the design, implementation, and growth of the pediatric service line
  • Develop clinical protocols, workflows, and standards of care
  • Supervise and mentor pediatric providers and advanced practice clinicians
  • Participate in provider recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and program development
  • Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and compliance initiatives
  • Build relationships with schools, community organizations, and referral partners
  • Ensure compliance with HRSA, FTCA, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in organizational leadership meetings and planning initiatives
