Job description

Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club on beautiful Cape Cod is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Engineer. This position will perform various general maintenance tasks, including preventive and emergency maintenance to the hotel and grounds. Generally, maintenance is done in restaurants, front desk, rooms, parking, lobbies, restrooms, elevators and workforce housing locations of the Resort.

He/she responds to requests for repairs to the inside or outside of the building i.e. change light bulbs and fix faucets, but may also be required to do more complex tasks such as maintaining heating and air conditioning units, working with plumbing, minor electrical. An organized, skilled maintenance person will also inspect the grounds, buildings, furniture and equipment in the hotel for things in need of repair.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform facilities maintenance in all guest rooms, public areas, restaurants and event spaces as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
  • Follow-up and complete work orders in a timely fashion; guest requests are the priority.
  • Maintain project scheduling in accordance with your supervisor and immediately report any reason for not being able to comply.
  • When assigned a work zone, inspect your area for any safety violations that may have an effect on our guests or staff.
