About the Opportunity

This job is a permanent, full-time career opportunity within a fast-paced hospital Imaging and Radiology department. If selected, you will be hired directly as a regular employee of the organization we represent. You will be on their payroll and eligible for their full suite of benefits from your start date. This is not a temporary, contract, or "temp-to-hire" role. This position features a dedicated weekend-intensive schedule (Fridayโ€“Sunday), offering an excellent fit for professionals seeking structured mid-week flexibility.

Purpose

The Radiology Clinical Support Associate plays an essential role in supporting the diagnostic imaging team by assisting technical staff to deliver high-quality, timely, and compassionate patient care. Operating as a vital liaison between Radiologists, Technologists, and patients, this professional manages exam room preparation, patient navigation, and clinical data entry. This role is crucial for maintaining an efficient clinical workflow, reducing patient wait times, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Technologist Assistance: Prepare radiology examination rooms between procedures, set up auxiliary positioning equipment, and assist the certified imaging technologist during exams as directed.
  • Patient Navigation & Comfort: Greet and check in patients, escort them to appropriate imaging areas, and act as a dedicated liaison regarding waiting periods or test statuses. Instruct and assist patients with changing into appropriate exam attire and maintain fully stocked patient dressing rooms.
  • Safe Patient Handling: Assist multidisciplinary clinical staff with the safe transferring, lifting, positioning, and transporting of patients to and from the radiology department.
  • Clerical & Phone Triage: Answer incoming department telephone lines, answer baseline operational questions, take accurate clinical messages, and route calls to the appropriate imaging sub-specialties.
  • Data Entry & Systems: Perform precise, routine data entry of patient and exam details into the specialized Radiology Information System (RIS) under technologist supervision.
  • Interpersonal Excellence: Maintain highly cooperative, collaborative, and professional working relationships with patients, physicians, technologists, and nursing units.
Minimum Essential Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of direct patient care experience in a clinical or hospital setting, or prior experience working specifically within a diagnostic radiology department, is highly valued.
  • Technical Compliance: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required to support a high volume of direct interaction with physicians, patients, and families.
  • Certification Requirement: CPR certification required based on American Heart Association (AHA) standardsโ€”must include both a didactic component and a hands-on skills demonstration componentโ€”within 30 days of hire.
