This is not a temporary, contract, or "temp-to-hire" assignment. Located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, this high-visibility role combines strategic campaign development with hands-on project execution, providing elite professional growth and the stability of a premier healthcare network.

Purpose

The Marketing Communications Specialist (Healthcare Account Management) acts as a primary strategic liaison between corporate marketing leadership, clinical directors, and medical staff. This professional is responsible for designing, executing, and scaling complex marketing communication plans that drive patient volume, enhance brand equity, and advance overarching business objectives. Combining executive-level client management with strong project governance, this role oversees multi-channel content production—spanning digital, print, and video—while mentoring junior communications staff to ensure absolute alignment with strict corporate brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Account & Liaison Management: Serve as the dedicated marketing communications consultant to clinical programs, department heads, and medical committees, converting clinical goals into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Campaign & Tactical Planning: Partner with Marketing Directors and Senior Managers to build data-driven marketing blueprints designed to grow service-line volumes and elevate regional brand awareness.
  • Multi-Channel Production: Oversee the lifecycle of complex communication assets, including print collateral, high-impact videos, digital content campaigns, and targeted community outreach initiatives.
  • Content Generation & Copywriting: Independently research, interview subject matter experts, and write highly creative, concise, and stylistically targeted copy that conforms meticulously to internal style guidelines.
  • Project & Team Governance: Coordinate and direct the output of contributing staff, freelance copywriters, and graphic design teams. Act as the final checkpoint for copy editing, proofreading, and executive approval flows.
  • Mentorship & Onboarding: Provide direct operational guidance, project coaching, and workflow orientation to junior communications specialists and summer associates.
  • Budgetary & Timeline Oversight: Monitor individual campaign budgets, manage vendor distribution and print production pipelines, and ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule and within fiscal parameters.
  • Brand Compliance: Enforce and implement corporate brand standards across all parallel marketing streams, maintaining absolute accuracy and stylistic consistency.
Minimum Essential Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or Health Sciences
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of dedicated experience in a corporate marketing, public relations, or marketing/communications role.
  • Prior marketing & project management experience in a healthcare related field will be preferred
  • Project Management Portfolio: Proven experience managing high-complexity, sensitive projects simultaneously from concept to completion under tight deadlines.
  • Presentation & Client Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, interviewing, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated comfort level operating in high-exposure, client-facing environments.
  • Technical Communication Toolkit: Expert-level command of writing, grammar, copy editing, and modern digital and traditional marketing best practices.
Performance-Based Earning Potential
This position features an established professional tier structure designed to reward strategic campaign success, leadership milestones, and long-term contributions to the corporate marketing footprint. Through sustained performance excellence, successful management of high-priority clinical portfolios, and positive annual evaluations, employees have the structural opportunity to progress up to $56.83 per hour over time within the corporate pay scale.

Premier Benefits
  • Exceptional Retirement Package: Secure your future with retirement savings accounts featuring competitive company matching structures (up to 8% total contribution framework).
  • Comprehensive Healthcare: Direct access to top-tier health, dental, and vision networks with comprehensive medical coverage choices for you and your family.
  • Generous Paid Time Off: Enjoy an exceptional PTO accrual structure along with 7 paid holidays per calendar year to support your work-life harmony.
  • Tuition Assistance: Maximize your professional trajectory in healthcare executive leadership with up to $6,000 per academic year in tuition reimbursement, plus exclusive tuition discounts at over 30 partner institutions.
