Job description

Be the Therapist. We’ll Support the Rest.

What makes this position different:

  • Established pediatric caseload available immediately
  • Paid, scheduled documentation time
  • No expectation to complete documentation at home
  • Administrative team handles scheduling, referrals, insurance authorizations, and patient communication
  • Employer-paid DIRFloortime training and certification
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Part-time position available
  • Large sensory gym plus dedicated treatment rooms
  • Child-led, play-based, neurodiversity-affirming treatment philosophy
  • Supportive team where your ideas and clinical expertise matter
  • Opportunity to help shape our growing OT program

How We Approach Therapy

At 901 Therapy, we believe children learn and grow through play, movement, meaningful relationships, and participation in everyday activities.

Therapy should be fun and motivating for the child while still being purposeful, evidence-based, and goal-driven.

Our therapists have access to dedicated treatment rooms as well as a large sensory gym, allowing sessions to incorporate movement, play, sensory experiences, and each child's individual interests.

We serve both neurodivergent and neurotypical children and provide neurodiversity-affirming, family-centered care that respects each child's strengths and differences while helping them develop greater independence, participation, confidence, and quality of life.

What You'll Do

  • Perform pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Develop individualized plans of care
  • Provide evidence-based, child-centered OT services
  • Complete progress reports, re-evaluations, and payer-required documentation
  • Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
  • Collaborate with families, physicians, SLPs, PTs, and other members of the care team
  • Use our sensory gym and treatment spaces to create engaging, purposeful interventions
  • Address sensory processing, self-regulation, fine motor development, visual-motor integration, coordination, ADLs, and participation in meaningful occupations
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive clinic environment

As our OT program grows, there may also be opportunities for clinical mentorship and supervision of COTAs in accordance with Tennessee regulations and payer requirements.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an OT with strong clinical judgment who also knows how to get on the floor, play, adapt, and genuinely connect with a child.

Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapist license or ability to obtain Tennessee licensure
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • New graduates with relevant pediatric experience are encouraged to apply
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills
  • Experience performing evaluations and re-evaluations preferred
  • Comfortable with insurance-based clinical documentation
  • Excellent communication with children, families, and colleagues
  • Playful, flexible, and child-centered approach to therapy
  • Interest in neurodiversity-affirming pediatric care

Schedule & Growth

  • This position is open to full-time and part-time applicants with flexible scheduling and an established caseload available from the start.
  • We support you through CEUs and DIRFloortime certificates.
  • Paid documentation time is built into your schedule because planning and documentation are part of providing quality clinical care -not homework to take home.
