Job Title: Automation Sales Specialist

Department: Sales

Reports to: EVP of Sales

Work Location: Plymouth, MN

Position: Fulltime / Salary / Onsite

Job Summary:

The automation sales specialist will be responsible for meeting with customers and collaborating with vendors to determine best products based on their requirements. Travel to branch locations to promote automation products and services.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet with customers in person. Propose automation products with the best combination of performance and cost to those customers based on their requirements. Can be with or without primary Baldwin account managers.
  • Explain to account managers why you have selected specific products for their customers based on face to face customer discussions. Take next steps needed to secure orders for those products
  • Collaborate with vendors at customer sites when necessary to determine the best products to select for those customers.
  • Travel to Baldwin branch locations. Promote automation products and services to Baldwin branch employees and branch customers.
  • Continuous training to stay current with primary vendor’s new products and technologies.
  • Manage supplier relations with strategic vendors of automation products

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering preferred or related required
  • Automation Sales- 2 year experience preferred
