WHAT WE'RE DOING
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) portfolio for a Mechanical Engineer supporting the F-35 program. On our development Engineering team, you can help us take on the world's most important and complex challenges by providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
THE WORK
Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for creating new designs using (but not limited to) Catia v5, create and manage F-35 and similar program support equipment hardware engineering documentation, including bill of materials, hardware requirement specifications, trade studies, technical evaluations, and logistics support. Drive and design hardware development from concept to on-aircraft testing and verification. Provide post-delivery technical assistance to customer and support internal reviews of solutions. Manage technical aspects of design and manufacturing with suppliers. Drive MIL-STD-810 environmental qualification testing to successful completion.
Candidate will process Support Equipment documentation through PDM, Windchill, and other programs, and leverage Agile Engineering methodologies for development cycle.
Successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of coordinating and managing design projects and integrating design requirements.
May require increased on-site presence in secondary LM location in support of classified program activities.
