Job Overview

We are seeking a full-time Logistics / Receiving Coordinator to support our operations team by coordinating inbound and outbound freight activity, maintaining accurate shipment and receiving records, and assisting with operational reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in both office and warehouse environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Coordinate with freight vendors to manage inbound and outbound transportation activities.

·         Track, trace, and provide timely updates on shipment status.

·         Request freight quotes, compare carrier options, and support transportation cost analysis.

·         Maintain daily communication with carriers to confirm rates, availability, truck status, and estimated arrival times.

·         Collaborate with customer service, logistics, quality, operations, and production teams to support all inbound and outbound activities.

·         Verify inventory receipts and support stock integrity through accurate receiving documentation.

·         Maintain and track operational data for key performance indicators and internal reporting.

·         Support Operations and Production through ad hoc projects and process-improvement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

·         Previous experience in logistics, shipping, receiving, transportation coordination, or a related operational role.

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

·         Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external partners.

·         Experience following detailed procedures in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.

·         Experience with SAGE BusinessWorks or similar ERP software is a plus.

·         Prior involvement with purchasing or procurement activities is preferred.
