Job Description
We're looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our laundry team!
Perform all laundry production activities, including washing, folding, ironing, sorting, and more. Ensure there are adequate supplies of linen for the daily needs of the facility.
Responsibilities
Laundry Tech
  • Wage: $11.22/hour
  • Full-time and part-time positions available
  • Day shift available
  • Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required
  • Location: Anderson Regional Medical Center

Responsibilities
  • Process clean and soiled laundry in a timely manner
  • Receive, weigh, and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers
  • Sort, fold, and iron clean laundry
  • Pack and transport clean laundry to deliver throughout the facility
  • Record linen usage and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Ensure linen quality is satisfactory, and report any quality issues
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas
  • Follow all HHS linen procedures and best practices
  • Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
  • Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
  • Preferred: Laundry experience (linen utilization, cleaning, custodian, janitorial, healthcare)

Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
  • Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
  • Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
