Job Description

The Sales Porter plays a key support role in the day-to-day operations of the dealership's used vehicle department. This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, organization, and readiness of the vehicle inventory, while assisting the sales team with vehicle logistics and customer support tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Move, park, and organize vehicles on the lot and showroom to ensure an attractive and orderly display
  • Clean and prepare vehicles for sale, including washing, vacuuming, and light detailing
  • Ensure all vehicles are fueled, charged (if applicable), and ready for test drives
  • Assist sales staff in retrieving and staging vehicles for customers
  • Maintain cleanliness of the lot, showroom, and surrounding areas
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections (check tire pressure, fluid levels, battery status, etc.)
  • Transport vehicles between dealership locations, auctions, or service departments as needed
  • Install or remove dealer tags, license plates, and window stickers
  • Support special events, promotions, and sales activities as required
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in automotive or lot porter roles is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions in a fast-paced dealership environment.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.

Required:

  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver's license.
Additional Information

(The Service Porter Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges.  Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $19.00 and $21.00.)

  • FULL TIME
  • Monday thru Saturday availability 
  • Sundays off
