Standard Job Description DarkStar is one of only a handful of industry authorized eWANs (Enterprise Wide Area Network) in operation today. Operating under a single ATO, DarkStar is able to scale and provide classified Programs with a secure, encrypted, shared backend environment to execute IT needs today in an on-premises setting. As part of the DarkStar team this position will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance of several Linux/Unix servers.

This includes but is not limited to patching, performing scan validation and remediations, hardening servers, installing and maintaining software packages and deploying new servers. An ideal candidate will be able to work in a cross-platform environment supporting Windows and Linux/Unix. Knowledge of VMware and network storage is not required but highly desired.

Basic Qualifications Active DOD Top Secret clearance required Demonstrated experience of Linux/UNIX Server Administration Demonstrated experience of scripting skills to automate tasks on servers (including Bash or Ansible) Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) processes Experience with software application installation and experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (i.e., system hardening, log management, configuration management (i.e., Ansible, GIT, Yum, Nessus, CrowdStrike, WSUS, SCCM, Ivanti, Shavlik, Blade Logic, Splunk, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, etc.) Familiarization and knowledge related storage: direct attached, NAS, and SAN (NetApp) Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days US Citizenship required at this facility Desired Skills Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems Experience with Active Directory (AD) Knowledge of operating systems life cycle management and configuration management (Print Management, Account Management, System Imaging, Hardware Modernization, Performance Monitoring, etc.) Knowledge of network support in a classified environment (encryption, etc.) Current Security + or CISSP certification Current working knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements SQL experience Experience with clustered ESXi administration (VMware or HyperV) Experience with Disaster Recovery and Backup solutions (Veeam application and proxy servers) Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people. Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics. For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
