Cyber Intel Senior Advisor
The Ascendancy Group's Mission
To be the unequaled provider of special operations forces (SOF) and Intelligence Community focused technical, service, and training-based solutions.
Overview
The Cyber Intelligence Senior Advisor position is a full-time position integrating cyber threat intelligence into irregular and information warfare, influence campaigns, and Operational Information Environment (OIE) planning to support joint and interagency mission objectives.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Security Requirement: TS/SCI or TS w/SCI Eligibility
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Advises OIE planners on adversary exploitation of information systems, social media platforms, and digital communication networks, and weapons systems to influence foreign target audiences.
  • Analyzes foreign cyber capabilities across the physical, informational, and human aspects of the IOE to support operational design and non-kinetic targeting.
  • Collaborates with MISO, PSYOP, MILDEC, OPSEC, Civil Affairs, Public Affairs, Electromagnetic Warfare Operations, and space operations elements to integrate cyber into full-spectrum OIE.
  • Provides recommendations for leveraging Informational Power to support strategic competition objectives.
  • Supports Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) to assess impact of cyber-integrated influence campaigns.
  • Conducts senior-level briefings on adversary cyber trends impacting Operations in the Information Environment.
  • Develops innovative concepts to counter adversarial use of information in the Cyber and Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS).
  • Develops innovative concepts to exploit and counter adversarial use of information in the Cyber and electromagnetic spectrum; and consider significant or key cultural aspects that affect strategic, operational and tactical planning, operational security, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborates with operational planners, intelligence analysts, and cross-functional directorates within the GCC to synchronize cyber intelligence with mission planning.
  • Supports coordination with multinational and coalition partners, including intelligence sharing and operational deconfliction.
  • Possesses strong working knowledge of the intelligence cycle and applicable policies for sharing, exchanging, and safeguarding intelligence.
  • Interfaces with other U.S. Government agencies and allied cyber organizations to enhance situational awareness and decision support.
  • Ensures cyber threat intelligence is actionable and aligned with broader campaign objectives, operational risk, and targeting priorities.

Required Qualifications:
  • Operational experience in cyber intelligence, cyber-enabled influence operations, or multi-domain targeting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing foreign state and non-state cyber capabilities, hybrid threat actors, and adversarial use of information manipulation and technical influence operations.
  • Prior experience supporting Joint Staff, CCMDs, J39, J2, or Interagency cyber missions, with working knowledge of the broader Intelligence Community (IC) and its cyber threat intelligence roles across organizations such as NSA, DIA, CIA, NGA, and FBI.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate cyber intelligence into OIE campaign design, operational planning, and irregular and information warfare.
  • Knowledge of the Information Joint Function and Human Aspects of the IE as defined by Joint Publication 3-04.
  • Prior experience supporting Joint Staff, CCMDs, J39, J2, or Interagency cyber missions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Operational experience supporting USSOCOM, USCENTCOM, USINDOPACOM, or Joint Interagency Task Forces.
  • Familiarity with PSYOP, MILDEC, OPSEC, Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO), and Special Technical Operations (STO).
  • Knowledge of F3EAD, CARVER, social network analysis, and non-kinetic targeting methodologies.
  • Experience integrating Informational Capabilities into operational design under Joint Planning Publication 5-0.
  • Degree in cyber operations, intelligence, national security, or information environment operations, or related field.
