Job Summary

EMCOR Government Services (EGS) is seeking a Project Manager (PM)ย  to provide Facilities Operations Maintenance and support Services to a Government Agency in Research Triangle Park, NC.ย  The Project Manager (PM) will provide on-site oversite of the requirements of the Contract. This individual isย  responsible for the overall management, supervision, and coordination of all tasks, activities, issues, etc. relating to this Contract.

This contract has a continuing requirement for comprehensive facilities operations, maintenance, and support services to sustain mission-critical research, laboratory, office, data center, and childcare facilities across the EPA RTP campus. The requirement encompasses 24/7 operations and maintenance of complex building systems; preventive and corrective maintenance; alterations and repairs of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems; facility help desk operations; environmental compliance; safety and security systems support; and on-demand construction and repair services necessary to ensure uninterrupted facility performance and regulatory compliance across a multi-building, high-security federal research environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • ย 
    • Act as the principal contractor representative to the Government COR and CO for the day-to-day administration of this requirement, to communicate, clarify, and resolve technical issues, and to escalate problems/issues relating to Contractor performance on any issue under this Contract (including Task Orders).ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย 
    • Responsible for the preparation, review, and submission of accurate and timely reports and deliverables required under the Contract; prompt resolution of problems/issues associated with Contract performance; closeout of Task Orders at completion of requirements or at Period of Performance expiration; ensuring staff assigned to the Contract perform work in the most effective and efficient manner; monitoring of Contract and each Task Order to ensure work performed complies with requirements, to include all permitting requirements; ensuring a competent and stable staff is utilized to perform Contract requirements; continually engaging the vendor community to provide a deep subcontractor support base; and maintaining current and accurate documentation of all expenses incurred during Contract performance.ย 
    • Shall be present and available for communications and coordination with the COR during regular Government work hours and shall be available for "on-call" emergency situations which may arise during non-regular work hours.
    Qualifications
    • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience with responsible oversight of maintenance and operation of large or multiple facilities, with highly complex mechanical, electrical and structural requirements, including construction management.ย 
    • Must have a North Carolina General Contractor's license.
    • A degree in Engineering or similar discipline, Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or Project Management Professional (certification) is preferred
