Job Title: Gigi's Host

Reports To: Restaurant Manager
Status: Full-Time or Part-Time, Seasonal
Pay: $20 - $22 per hour
Location: Gurney's Resorts & Seawater Spa, Montauk, NY

Job Summary:
The Host at Gigi's is the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. This role requires a polished, engaging, and service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a gracious demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests warmly and sincerely as they arrive, creating an inviting first impression.
  • Manage reservations and walk-in seating using the restaurant's reservation system.
  • Escort guests to their tables and present menus in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth table turnover and optimal seating flow.
  • Provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed during peak periods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized host stand, entryway, and lobby area.
  • Assist with answering phones, taking reservations, and responding to guest inquiries.
  • Support the service team as needed to ensure exceptional guest experience.
  • Uphold Gurney's service standards and brand values at all times.

Qualifications:
  • Previous hosting or guest service experience in a high-volume, upscale dining environment preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polished, professional presence.
  • Ability to remain calm and gracious under pressure.
  • Experience with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) a plus.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:
  • $20.00-$22.00 per hour.
