Job Details:
Pay based on skills Starting at $19/hr
Full time, will train on first shift 6am - 2:30pm and then go to 2nd shift 1pm - 9:30pm
Preference given to those with experience welding galvanized metal.
* Galvanized sheet metal - 20ga thru 14ga - (nonstructural steel)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding on galvanized sheet metal (20ga14ga).
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and fabrication drawings.
Set up and adjust welding machines according to material thickness and specifications.
Ensure proper weld penetration while minimizing burn-through on lighter gauge materials.
Grind, clean, and finish welds as required.
Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity (non-structural applications).
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper ventilation and PPE when welding galvanized materials.
Work collaboratively with fabrication and production teams to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
Previous MIG welding experience required (sheet metal preferred).
Experience welding galvanized steel strongly preferred.
Ability to work with thin gauge materials without warping or burn-through.
Ability to read measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares).
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Own Welding Helmet & Steel toe boots required. Weld test will be required during interview
