The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the safety, reliability, upkeep, and licensure of the hospital's fleet of six mobile intensive care units (ambulances) and over 50 general purpose vehicles. Manages the purchase and maintenance of the ambulances according to the regulations of The Ohio Board of Emergency Medical, Fire, and Transportation. Manages the purchase and maintenance of the hospital's other vehicles in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, hospital policy, and industry best practices. Manages all aspects of the hospital's Fleet Fuel program with integrity and in accordance with hospital policy. Manages the hospital's fleet management software, ensuring that it is always kept up-to-date so that it thoroughly and completely tells the Fleet Manager and Chief Security Officer the current status of the entire fleet.
This position requires maintaining a valid Ohio driver's license, being a minimum of 21 years old, and meeting all eligibility criteria for coverage under the hospital's insurance policy.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Associate's degree in related field
Experience:
3 years' successful experience as a Fleet Manager
6 years - ASE Master Certified Automotive Mechanic
Skills and Competencies:
Diesel & gasoline vehicles and equipment.
Computer skills.
Customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
