From daily prayer and classroom learning to championship athletics and lifelong friendships, everything we do is rooted in faith, excellence, and community.
Located in Novi, Michigan, Catholic Central is the largest Catholic school in Michigan. Our campus is also one of the most dynamic and beautiful private school campuses in Michigan, featuring modern academic wings, athletic facilities, a chapel, gathering spaces, and the George amp; Mary Turek Hall of Science, a state-of-the-art STEM facility designed to prepare students for a rapidly changing world.

● Lead a nationally recognized Robotics program with strong participation and institutional support.
● Shape the next generation of engineers, innovators, and leaders through both teaching and extracurricular mentorship.
● Collaborate with a dedicated STEM faculty in a school committed to academic excellence and Catholic values.

What You’ll Do
The Robotics Educator and Director of FIRST Robotics will
● Teach three to four classes a day (e.g., robotics, engineering, and manufacturing) and direct the FIRST Robotics program.
● Apprentice with our Director of FIRST Robotics, learning about CC’s school-wide Robotics Program, including the Shambots Varsity and Shambytes Junior Varsity FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams.
● Supervise mentors, manage program budgets, oversee build seasons, and coordinate participation in local, state, and worldwide competitions.
● Inspire, mentor, and support students in their development as innovators, engineers, and leaders.
Teaching

Program Leadership
● Serve as Program Director for Detroit Catholic Central’s Robotics Program.

● Recruit, train, and supervise adult mentors, coaches, and volunteers.
● Manage program operations, including scheduling, budgeting, safety compliance, and facility use.
● Lead student recruitment, team organization, and community outreach events.
● Coordinate travel, logistics, and supervision for competitions and off-site events.
● Foster a positive, safe, amp; inclusive team culture grounded in Catholic values and the school’s mission.

● Proven leadership and organizational skills, including managing budgets, volunteers, and complex projects.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, mentors, and administrators.
● An understanding of the role that a Catholic education plays in carrying forth the mission of the Catholic Church and an acceptance without reservation that a Detroit Catholic Central High School Teacher performs a ministerial function.
