Job description

Hematology/Oncology locum in Pontiac, MI-$450 Hr.-M W F coverage-MI license required-February to July 31st-Clinic and Call coverage
McLaren Oakland is seeking a Medical Oncology and Hematology Physician to provide outpatient clinic coverage on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including clinic call as needed. This role is to cover a recruitment gap.
  • Start Date: 1/19/2026

  • End Date: 7/31/2026

    Days Required: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

    Coverage Type: Clinic and clinic call

    Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

    On-Call Requirements: Clinic call only


    Average Patients per Day: 15–20 outpatient clinic patients

    EMR System: Cerner

    Practice Setting & Support

    Oncology and Hematology outpatient clinic

    Previously a two-physician practice with NP assistance

    Support Staff Includes:

    -Oncology RNs

    -Medical Assistants

    -Social Worker

    -Dietitian

    -Nurse Navigator


    Onsite Services:

    -Infusion center

    -Onsite CBCs

    -Recruitment for a full-time physician is ongoing


    Procedures / Skills Required

    -Hematology outpatient care

    -Oncology outpatient care

    -Participation in tumor board

    -Specialty Category: Hematology/Oncology


    Rates to submit:

    Malpractice must be included in rates

    Orientation 1/2 the hourly rate

    Hourly: $435 Hr. 


    Car, fuel, mileage, hotel is a $150 cap (including taxes) rental must be refueled before being returned

  • Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology. or Board eligible - [REQUIRED]
  • BLS/ACLS - [REQUIRED]
  • Active MI license - [REQUIRED]
  • Must be local - no flights
  • Please provide availability at time of name clear - [REQUIRED]
  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR - [PREFERRED].
  • Copy of the NPDB, self-query requires at presentation (Should be pulled within 30 days) - [REQUIRED]
