YOUR DAY AS AN ENTRY-LEVEL ACCOUNTANT
In this Entry-Level Accountant role, you'll step into a dynamic day where no two moments look exactly the same. You might begin by supporting Accounts Payable and Receivable tasks, then dive into data entry and record maintenance to ensure everything is accurate and up to date. As the day progresses, you'll process customer payments from grain clients, answer calls professionally, and assist with account inquiries while building trusted relationships. You'll create check registers, maintain documentation, and lend a hand with cooperative elevator administrative duties when needed. Throughout it all, you'll collaborate closely with the Accounting Supervisor and team members, continuously learning, improving processes, and contributing to the financial foundation that supports our entire operation.
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time accounting position based in Goldfield, IA, with a consistent weekday schedule supporting standard business hours.
REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ENTRY-LEVEL ACCOUNTANT
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or near completion)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional communication skills
  • Ability to learn accounting processes and systems

Preferred qualifications include prior experience in accounting, banking, or finance, as well as familiarity with agriculture or farming communities.
