We're pleased to announce an opportunity for the position of Energy Assistance Specialist within the Housing Department.

Wage Range: $19.87 - $21.49 per/hr.

Summary
Assists in the implementation of program plans by organizing and monitoring available resources to accomplish program goals. Identifies and assesses client/customer needs, mobilizes personnel as needed to provide services, determines materials, supplies and equipment required, provides technical assistance and training.

General Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Coordinates energy assistance programs and provides emergency referrals and utility support services.
Assesses eligibility for energy assistance, verifies documentation, and counsels clients on available options.
Mentors staff through training on program procedures, policies, and interview techniques.
Maintains accurate records, enters data, and prepares reports to support program operations.
Performs other duties as assigned to ensure effective service delivery and program compliance.

Requirements
Education & Experience
Associates degree in a related field of study or five years of work experience in a directly related social service program; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job.
Required Certification & Licenses
Valid driver's license in state of residence.
Auto insurance in the amount required by the State of Washington.
Acceptable completion of a criminal history background check.
*To support operational needs and compliance requirements, this position is expected to be performed within the State of Washington.
(Resume Required) Additional wage progression may be available over time under the organization's established compensation structure. The full established pay scale for this position is $19.87 - $52.96 per hour; however, placement above the starting wage range is not available at hire.
