Location: St. Clair Shores Office
Schedule: Weekdays, 8-hour shifts (No nights or weekends)

Eastlake Cardiovascular, P.C. is a high-volume, multi-location cardiovascular practice committed to delivering exceptional patient care. We are expanding our clinical support team and seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical call center. This role focuses on telephone triage, patient education, and care coordination with minimal face-to-face patient care responsibilities, only as needed to support clinical operations.
Position Highlights

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming patient call requiring clinical assessment and perform structured triage based on symptoms, history, and risk factors.
  • Determine urgency level (emergent, urgent, routine, or self-care) and identify red-flag symptoms.
  • Direct patients to appropriate disposition (Emergency Department, Same-day provider evaluation, and/or schedule appointment)
  • Utilize approved triage protocols, and clinical guidelines as well as escalate concerns to physicians or APPs as needed.
  • Review patient history, medications, and test results to inform triage decisions.
  • Provide patient education and reinforce care plans.
  • Coordinate care with providers and scheduling staff for timely follow-up.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR (Epic).
  • Adhere to clinical protocols, nursing scope of practice, and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Support additional clinical tasks within scope as needed.
Qualifications
  • Active RN license in Michigan (required)
  • 3+ years of cardiac/cardiovascular experience strongly preferred
  • Triage and call center nursing experience highly preferred
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • BLS Certification
