Job description

MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to provide subject matter expertise in ensuring PL SSW delivery of critical intelligence and electronic warfare capabilities. This position is in support of ongoing and future prototyping efforts.

The EW&C program delivers critical capabilities to counter current and future threats, enabling the next generation of warfighting capabilities from sensor to Soldier worldwide. By applying game changing cyber technologies through agile development methodology, we enable battlefield dominance for our Warfighters.


  • Exercise a strong knowledge of ELINT systems and subsystems to develop system and subsystem specifications necessary for meeting performance metrics against a given set of threat signals of interest.
  • Conduct analysis, subsystem analysis, architecture/subsystem decomposition, requirements and algorithm design, implementation, integration, verification, and maintenance of ground based ELINT and EW systems.
  • Working with intel and electronic warfare analysts to characterize adversary electronic orders of battle to include specific analysis on threat radar systems and blue force systemโ€™s ability to detect and intercept a given set of threats.
  • Coordinate and support all aspects of SIGINT and EW operations, including planning, collection, processing, analysis, dissemination, and reporting associated with PL SSW products.
  • Translate Army operational requirements into actionable goals and system requirements necessary to develop effective collection and EW strategies.
  • Responsible for the leadership of design, development, and implementation of multiple platforms, peripherals, and applications using a range of applicable technologies software engineering methodologies.
  • Applies strong analytical problem solving for complex issues
  • Effectively leads interactions with key stakeholders to drive the design, implementation, integration, and deployment of capabilities.
  • Applies technical experience and leadership skills throughout all phases of acquisition.
  • Effectively manages and leads cross-functional teams, addressing complex programs, issues, and problems.
  • Remains abreast of all applicable technical advancements and participates in technical advising with key stakeholders.
  • Develops approaches to solve analytical problems and documents methodologies.
  • Submits suggestions for new opportunities and reports user/customer problems.

  • Clearance: TS/SCI.
  • 15+ years of experience in SIGINT and EW operations.
  • Recent engineering assignments supporting design, development, and acquisition of EW systems.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering technical and technical management processes.
  • Ability to work on multi-functional teams.
  • Experience with developing and Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and/or Concept of Employment (CONEMP).
  • Experience with developing systems engineering requirements, to include, but not limited to Systems Requirements Documents (SRD), System/Subsystem Specifications (SSS), and System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDD).
  • Experience with participating in critical program information (CPI) assessments and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities.

 

Preferred:

  • BS (MS or Ph.D. preferred) in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics or similar field.
  • Experience with GEOINT, MASINT, technical signals exploitation, modeling and simulation.
  • Expertise in geolocation, intelligence reporting, and commonly used analysis tool suites.
  • Experience with JEL, TIDE, JICD, remote ops, and systems integration.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Experience working with government and military customers.

 

Education and Certification Requirements:

Bachelors degree required. Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education
