Description
Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services supporting commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services for our clients. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to plan, coordinate, and supervise commercial electrical installations under the direction of project management.
This is a Working Foreman role, leading journeymen and apprentices while ensuring all work meets NEC standards, productivity goals, and project deadlines. The ideal candidate is a skilled electrician with a California Journeyman Electrician license and experience in retail electrical construction. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including overnight shifts, and travel assignments.
Scope of work
  • Supervise the commercial production of electrical journeyman and apprentices
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics or plans and layout work for journeyman and apprentices
  • Perform tool-box talks and training to electrical apprentices and/or journeyman
  • Install commercial electrical equipment and fixtures
  • Install various types of conduit, raceway and cable tray systems
  • Experience with refrigeration motor control, Ansul Systems and EMS is preferred
  • Knowledge of retail new construction and/or retail tenant improvement projects is desired
  • Troubleshoot motor control systems
  • May be asked to work in confined spaces
  • Perform work from ladders, man lifts and/or during inclement weather
  • Communicate with project managers and safety teams regarding jobsite progress
  • Demonstrate and enforce quality electrical journeyman installation and jobsite safety

Requirements
  • Six or more years of experience as a commercial electrical journeyman with a minimum of two years of foreman experience preferably from retail construction projects
  • Above average troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Valid driver license with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and a motor vehicle background check
  • Strong English literacy skills are required to effectively communicate with management via email, phone
  • Must be available to work nights or travel as needed
