Job description

⚡ Facilities Electrical Engineer – Semiconductor Manufacturing
Location: Peoria, AZ (starts in Tempe, then transitions to Peoria)| Onsite with occasional remote days

We are seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer to own and manage high- and low-voltage electrical systems (up to 12.4kV), including UPS and emergency generators, for their new advanced manufacturing facility, currently under construction. This is a key role ensuring safety, capacity, and reliability of all facility electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as SME for site electrical power systems; support design, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting

  • Perform load calculations, manage electrical load database, and ensure power distribution stability

  • Conduct preventive maintenance for transformers, UPS, generators, and batteries

  • Develop and maintain system documentation: PM plans, SOPs, training, RCA reports

  • Coordinate with utilities, review Arc Flash and fault analysis, and lead risk mitigation

  • Support cleanroom utilities and facility infrastructure expansion efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, coordination studies, and system design in industrial settings

  • Hands-on experience with large power systems, switching, and infrastructure layout

  • Semiconductor or electric utility industry experience preferred

  • Familiarity with related systems (controls, mechanical, water, gas, etc.) is a plus

Other Details:

  • Initial work location in Tempe HQ; transitions to Peoria facility

  • Occasional remote work flexibility

  • Physical ability to safely access elevated and confined areas required

  • Due to the nature of the projects, all candidates must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
