Summary
Makes use of the ISD model to design and develop complex level interactive courseware and engages blended or multi-media learning activities for customer training that align with corporate values and desired competencies to support identified business needs. Ensures integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans. Develops flow diagrams and storyboards. Plans, organizes, and directs activities concerned with the selection, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise learning content management solutions and tools. Supports integration of additional instructional technologies in support of the corporate educational infrastructure.
Job Duties
  • Designs and develops overall architecture, layout, navigability, user interface, functionality, and usability for computer applications or web pages.
  • Assesses and modifies existing training programs to meet instructional design standards and competency requirements; provides reliable measurement of learning objectives' achievement.
  • Creates design documents showing the performance objectives, suggested sequence, and presentation of course content, timeframes, and customer touch points; secures buy-in and approval from training sponsor, Training Manager, and team.
  • Designs and creates multi-level evaluations and other learner assessments, uses statistics to measure and analyze results in order to determine success, utilizes participant feedback, and revises instructional materials.
  • Researches best industry practices and alternates vendor products to meet organizational needs; engages in online forums and training resources; prepares informal RFPs; participates in feature, cost/benefit, and pilot analyses; and monitors and evaluates performance outcomes of potential integrative technologies.
  • Takes ownership of assigned projects and manages the development process from beginning to end, including the successful deployment of products.
  • Takes storyboards and uses software authoring tools and/or programming skills to create e-based learning products from them.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of experience in design and creation of eLearning blended solutions.
  • Ability to apply formal project management principles to educational projects; perform detailed needs assessments on a per-project basis; work efficiently with high attention to detail; and is capable of building relationships with sponsorship, customers, and development partners.
  • Programming development skills with HTML and Java.
  • Knowledge of the Instructional Systems design life cycle and application of formal development practices to eLearning projects.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
