Job description

Instructional/E-Learning Designer

Peraton is seeking an Instructional/e-Learning Designer. The Instructional/e-Learning Designer responsibilities include:

  • Interview subject matter experts or conduct other research to develop instructional e-Learning content.
  • Present and make recommendations regarding e-Learning course design, technology, and instruction delivery options.
  • Develop e-Learning instructional materials and products to supplement instructor-led training for adult learners on a government site.
  • Design instructional aids for stand-alone, or online use.
  • Review existing instructor-led curriculum materials and recommend content to be transitioned to a blended-learning delivery method.
  • Plan, script, film, edit, and produce micro-training videos for hosting on the customer network or Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Train and mentor instructor staff on e-Learning instructional strategies and methodologies, course delivery techniques, and assessment validation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD, 12 Years with HS diploma.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI and PSD access.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Proven experience in designing and producing short-form (3 – 5 minute), instructional microlearning videos for adult learners.
  • Knowledge of the ADDIE (or SAM or SAT) model instructional design methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience using one or more instructional authoring tools (such as Adobe Captivate, Premier Elements, TechSmith Camtasia, Articulate, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate with teammates, government officials and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Preferred Experience with Multimedia Development: Skills in graphic design, video editing, and multimedia production.

Target Salary Range:

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
