About E&E Foods
E&E Foods, Inc. is a vertically integrated primary producer and supplier of wild Alaskan finfish. The company owns and operates processing plants in Renton and Federal Way, Washington, and shore-side processing plants in Yakutat, Bristol Bay, and Kenai, Alaska.
The Kenai operation, Pacific Star Seafoods, processes multiple species of finfish, including Cod, Salmon, Halibut and Black cod and employs approximately 300 people at peak season, including resident crew housed on site.
Position Summary
E&E Foods is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead Pacific Star Seafoods in Kenai, Alaska. The Plant Manager holds full accountability for the day-to-day operation of the facility, including production, quality control and regulatory compliance, personnel management, licensing and permitting, and maintenance of plant and living facilities.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The successful candidate will execute a demanding processing season while building the fleet relationships, workforce, and capital plan that position the facility for long-term profitability.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Operations and Production
• Direct all production, support, and living facilities at Pacific Star Seafoods.
• Plan and manage staffing, equipment readiness, and product flow through pre-season, peak season, and post-season.
• Manage repair, maintenance, and capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
• Research and propose technologies and methods that increase production and recovery, reduce cost, protect product quality, and improve safety and sanitation.
Quality, Safety, and Compliance
• Maintain compliance with FDA, Alaska DEC, USDC and other applicable requirements, including HACCP, sanitation, and food-safety programs.
• Hold responsibility for facility licensing and permitting, including timely renewals and inspection readiness.
• Treat safety as a condition of every operating decision and build it into plant methods, training, and culture.
Workforce and Talent
• Supervise, coach, and develop Managers and implement a succession plan for the facility.
• Partner with Human Resources on employee relations, talent acquisition, documentation, and compliance with company policy.
Fleet and Strategy
• Work with the Fleet Manager to develop and execute long-term strategy for Pacific Star Seafoods, including a profitable program to access Prince William Sound fisheries.
• Build and maintain relationships with the fishing fleet, and recruit and retain delivering fishers.
• Communicate closely with corporate management and sales, ensuring daily production, inventory, and logistics data is tracked, accurate, and shared on schedule.
• Perform additional operational duties in support of production as required.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in a seafood processing facility, including direct supervisory responsibility.
• Broad working knowledge of seafood processing operations and demonstrated depth in at least one specialized area, such as production, quality assurance, maintenance, or fleet relations.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, sanitation, and food-safety regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a large seasonal workforce in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to live and work at a remote Alaska facility through the processing season, including extended hours and seven-day workweeks at peak.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Alaska shore-side salmon operations.
• Profit-and-loss or departmental budget ownership.
• Experience scoping and delivering capital projects in a processing environment.
• HACCP certification.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience. This is a full-time, regular position that includes:

Work Environment and Location
This position is based at a seafood processing plant in Kenai, Alaska. Work is performed in and around an active production facility, with exposure to cold, wet, and noisy conditions, seafood and cleaning chemicals, and moving machinery. The role requires frequent standing and walking on wet surfaces, use of stairs and ladders, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Peak season requires extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
