Job description

ReUse IT – A Division of Sensible Recycling

At ReUse IT, we give electronics a second life. As a growing division of Sensible Recycling, we specialize in selling pre-owned computers, tablets, components, and other electronic equipment through our online marketplaces.

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented eBay Listing & Sales Specialist to join our eCommerce department.

This is not a customer-facing retail or sales position. You will not work at a sales counter, make cold calls, or deal with customers face-to-face. Most customer communication is handled through written eBay messages regarding existing online orders.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, learning about electronics, taking photographs, organizing information, and creating accurate online listings.

Potential for monthly profit-sharing bonuses.

What You’ll Do

  • Photograph electronics and computer equipment for online listings
  • Research products, specifications, compatibility, and market pricing
  • Create accurate and informative eBay listings
  • Write clear product titles and descriptions
  • Identify and document cosmetic or functional defects
  • Maintain accurate online inventory
  • Respond to basic post-sale questions through eBay messaging
  • Upload tracking information and update order records
  • Assist with packing and shipping sold items
  • Work with the testing and inventory teams to ensure items are listed correctly
  • Maintain an organized, efficient, and clean work area

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong computer and internet research skills
  • Comfortable using email, web browsers, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with eBay Seller Hub or another eCommerce platform preferred
  • Basic product photography skills
  • Knowledge of computers, electronics, or computer hardware preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to describe product condition honestly and accurately
  • Good written communication skills
  • Common-sense problem-solving ability
  • Dependable, adaptable, and able to work efficiently
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

A Good Fit for This Position

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Enjoy working with computers and electronics
  • Prefer online work over face-to-face customer service
  • Take pride in accuracy and doing things correctly the first time
  • Can stay productive without constant supervision
  • Are comfortable researching unfamiliar products
  • Notice small details that other people may overlook
  • Can balance quality with production expectations

Why You’ll Enjoy Working With Us

  • No face-to-face customer sales
  • Supportive, team-oriented work environment
  • Opportunities to learn about electronics and eCommerce
  • Variety of products and equipment to work with
  • Growing company with opportunities for advancement
  • Potential monthly profit-sharing bonuses
  • Mission-driven work that keeps usable electronics in circulation and out of landfills
