Job Title: Director, Community Engagement 

Class: Full-time, Exempt

Reports to: SVP, Community Engagement

Location: Milwaukee, WI - Onsite

Summary:

The Director of Community Engagement will help strategize, lead and execute the organization’s community engagement strategy. Through this role, the Director of Community Engagement will be an active, engaged leader in the community and help the Bucks organization bring positive impact across the state of Wisconsin. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, manage and support implementation of Bucks corporate partner contracted charitable programs
  • Direct and support Milwaukee Bucks player and legends community engagement initiatives in collaboration with player agencies and support teams
  • Support department alignment and collaboration with Basketball operations department, coaching staff and player families in the community
  • Supervise and manage the department’s intern position(s) and associated responsibilities. 
  • Develop and implement new programming across community impact pillars
  • Support year-round Bucks Foundation operations 
  • Strategic support to Community Engagement department operations, including but not limited to budgeting, staffing development
  • Support employee volunteerism and engagement in community
  • Drive communications between Bucks and NBA Social Impact league office including nominations and submissions for League awards

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Professional sports or non-profit experience (5-7 years)
  • Must be willing to work game nights + during playoffs
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and teamwork skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project/event management tools & DonationX
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills; ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
