RER Solutions, Inc. is accepting resumes for a skilled SharePoint Records Management System Administrator to administer, support, and optimize the SharePoint-based records management system for a DOE office. The SharePoint Records Management System Administrator ensures compliance with records retention policies, information governance standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining system reliability, security, and usability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with IT, DOE records management, and stakeholders to support enterprise content and records management initiatives.
  • Administer and maintain SharePoint Records Management systems, ensuring availability, performance, and compliance
  • Configure and manage records libraries, content types, metadata, retention schedules, and disposition workflows
  • Implement and enforce records retention and disposition policies in accordance with NARA requirements
  • Support information governance and compliance initiatives, including audits and legal holds
  • Manage permissions, access controls, and security groups to ensure appropriate data access
  • Assist with migration of records and content from legacy systems into SharePoint as needed
  • Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides
  • Provide technical support and training to end users and records management staff
  • Support integration with related systems such as Microsoft 365, Power Automate, PowerShell scripts, and third-party records tools

Requirements
  • US Citizenship is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of related professional experience
  • Proven experience administering SharePoint Records Management or Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, records centers, and information management policies
  • Experience with records retention schedules, metadata modeling, and taxonomy design
  • Hands-on experience managing permissions, security, and compliance features
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint Online and Power Automate
  • Understanding of records management principles, legal holds, and audit requirements
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex SharePoint and records-related issues
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of NARA standards strongly preferred

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
