News Channel 20/FOX Illinois has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Digital Content Lead in our newsroom. In this role, you will be required to manage real-time multi-platform journalism, shapes web and social media strategies, and guide newsroom staff to maximize audience growth and engagement. 

Skills and Experience:

  • Editorial direction: Guide daily story selection, headline framing, and real-time breaking news coverage
  • SEO & Analytics: Track metrics to optimize search performance, audience reach, and user engagement
  • Team leadership: Mentor reporters and producers on digital-first publishing habits.
  • Multi-platform distribution: Coordinate web, mobile app, video, and social media output.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in digital journalism, news reporting, or content management 
  • Strong grasp of CMS platforms, SEO best practices and audience analytics tools
  • Previous experience working in a team environment is a must
  • A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or related field
  • Clear Driving Record

This is a salaried position. The base salary compensation range for this role is $45K-$50K. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, vacation time, and floating holidays.
