Job description

The Business Analyst will work with a team to deliver high-quality service to our customers by applying analytical techniques to determine solutions aligned with client requirements within an IT services/solutions scope. They will analyze requirements, help develop plans to implement them, and track their execution to completion. The Technical Business Analyst uses those requirements to develop an understanding of how current and future business needs will impact on the solution, including its data and other stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities...
  • Analyzes operational activities to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision-making and resource allocation
  • Employs process improvements and reengineering methodologies and principles for the modernization of systems and projects
  • Creates project plans to achieve performance-based objectives, enhancing implementation, systems, and service
  • Provides integral support in mission requirements determination, conceptualization, design, development, testing, verification and validation, documentation, and implementation of system applications
  • Collects and analyzes data so that stakeholders can use said data to perfect their business practices
  • Performs analysis to determine how data might best be applied to benefit the stakeholders.

What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
  • Have or the ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or Science discipline
  • Four (4) years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a business analyst
  • Ability to interpret data and analyze results
  • Understanding of data collection systems and their strategies
  • Understanding of database systems and how they function
  • Ability to create data mapping documentation for databases, interfaces, and applications
  • Experience estimating the level of effort for business analysis activities
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience eliciting requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex topics to different audiences

Even better if you have:
  • Experience with AF Logistics systems
  • Experience with large-scale data environments and migrations
