Job description

Custom Fabrication & Finished Cabinetry Specialist (Carpentry / Tenant Improvement)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Custom Fabrication & Finished Cabinetry Specialist to join our construction and millwork team. Under the direction of the Project Manager, this role is responsible for installing, fabricating, and finishing custom cabinetry, interior millwork, and structural components for tenant improvement (TI) and commercial fit-out projects.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in custom fabrication, finish carpentry, and cabinet installation, with the ability to interpret drawings and deliver high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, install, and finish custom cabinetry, millwork, and interior fixtures
  • Construct and install structural elements, including framing, drywall, molding, windows, and trim
  • Perform tenant improvement (TI) and commercial fit-out work, including interior build-outs and finish installations
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction drawings to determine layout and material requirements
  • Assemble and install cabinetry, frameworks, doors, floors, and architectural woodwork
  • Repair or replace damaged wood and structural components as needed
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites and fabrication areas
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, OSHA safety standards, and company procedures
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and field teams to complete projects on schedule

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in carpentry, custom fabrication, cabinetry, or related construction field
  • Strong experience in custom millwork, finished cabinetry, and tenant improvement projects
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction documents
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and OSHA safety standards
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship quality standards
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound professional decisions
  • OSHA certification is a plus
