Job description

Opportunity:

Walter L Cohen College Prep is searching for full-time Custodial/Clean Team Staff Members. If you are relentless about seeing all students achieve at high levels, this is a chance to work at a school that does whatever it takes to ensure our students are equipped with the academic and social skills needed to 'Prep for College' and 'Prep for Life.'

Goals:

  • Annual building compliance monitoring receives a 90% score or higher.
  • Staff survey receives over 90% agreement for staff satisfaction of clean team.

Responsibilities:

  • Thorough cleaning, including mopping, sweeping, dusting, & vacuuming throughout building.
  • Facility management: identify and repair needs throughout the building
  • Bathrooms: scrub & disinfect bathrooms daily
  • Inventory: maintains accurate inventory of supplies and requests new supplies with adequate notice
  • Maintenance: perform general maintenance duties as needed
  • Sanitation: perform regular sanitizing of drinking fountains, floors, and other building fixtures
  • Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Previous custodial and/or janitorial experience (highly preferred)
  • Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
