Job description

Company Description

Dexterra Group is a fast-growing, financially strong, publicly listed company (TSX:DXT). We have a far-reaching presence across the entire continent North America with hundreds of full-time and part-time opportunities at any given time. We aim to provide our people with more than just a job - we offer fulfilling opportunities in a culture that promotes stability, diversity and inclusion, camaraderie, employee recognition, work-life balance, and doing what you love. For over 75 years, the companies that began independently, and now form Dexterra Group, have been dedicated to serving North American clients to create and manage built environments that play a vital role in our economy and our local communities.

That's something we're truly proud of, Work That Matters, People Who Care.

Job Description

What's the Role?

Be Part of Building a New Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Partnership. This one starts at day one.

Dexterra Group is launching a new NAI-affiliated commercial real estate brokerage in Denver, creating an opportunity for an experienced Colorado broker to become part of the foundation of a new business from the very beginning.

Most people know us as a facilities management company, but we are much bigger and more diverse than that. Dexterra supports clients through a broad range of services, and this expansion into commercial real estate represents an important new step in how we support the market.

This is an opportunity to influence how a new brokerage is built without carrying responsibility for sales targets, business development activities or operational management.

What You'll Do

As Broker of Record, you will provide the regulatory oversight, professional judgment and governance required to establish and maintain a compliant, professional and reputable brokerage operation in the Denver market. While business leaders will drive strategy, growth and day-to-day operations, you will be the licensed authority helping ensure the business grows on a strong regulatory and ethical foundation.

  • Serve as the brokerage's designated Broker of Record / Employing Broker and primary regulatory authority
  • Provide oversight and guidance to support compliance with Colorado real estate laws, regulations and professional standards
  • Support brokers and associate brokers on regulatory, compliance and professional practice matters
  • Review brokerage policies, procedures, marketing materials and transaction practices from a compliance perspective
  • Oversee trust and escrow account compliance requirements where applicable
  • Support audits, inquiries and licensing requirements with applicable regulatory bodies
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide practical guidance on risk management, governance and brokerage operations
  • Help establish a culture of professionalism, integrity and accountability as the business grows
Qualifications

Who We're Looking For

This role is ideal for an experienced Colorado broker who enjoys being the trusted compliance and governance expert behind a successful brokerage. You are respected for your judgment, transparency and professionalism, and excited by the opportunity to help shape a new commercial real estate platform from the beginning.

  • Active Colorado real estate broker license in good standing.
  • Eligibility and willingness to serve as the brokerage's Broker of Record / Employing Broker.
  • Significant experience within a real estate brokerage environment, ideally in commercial real estate.
  • Strong knowledge of Colorado real estate regulations, brokerage compliance requirements and professional standards.
  • Sound judgment, credibility and the confidence to provide independent oversight when required.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with business leaders, brokers, legal and finance professionals, and administrative teams.
  • A practical approach that balances regulatory compliance with commercial realities.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience serving as a Broker of Record, Employing Broker, Managing Broker or Brokerage Manager.
  • Commercial real estate brokerage experience.
  • Exposure to a national or international brokerage network.
  • Familiarity with commercial property management, facilities management or related real estate service lines.
  • Experience helping establish or scale a growing brokerage operation.
Additional Information

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Be part of an industry that's more important than ever!
  • Award winning safety culture.
  • A flexible hybrid work model.
  • Supportive team environment with room to grow together.
  • Employee Referral Program.
  • We are growing!
