Full-Time CTE & Social Studies Teacher – Grades 7–12

Tri-Township Jr./Sr. High School

Position: Full-Time

Start Date: Following the first nine weeks of the 2026–27 school year

Position Description

Tri-Township Jr./Sr. High School is seeking a motivated and versatile educator to join our team as a Full-Time CTE & Social Studies Teacher.

This unique position combines hands-on career and technical education courses with middle and high school social studies. We are looking for an educator who enjoys working with students across multiple grade levels and can provide engaging learning experiences in both traditional classroom and hands-on settings.

Teaching Assignment

The anticipated teaching assignment includes:

  • Introduction to Transportation
  • Introduction to Construction
  • 7th Grade Social Studies
  • 8th Grade Social Studies
  • High School Geography
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with Indiana Academic Standards and applicable course standards.
  • Create a positive, structured, and student-centered classroom environment.
  • Provide hands-on learning experiences in the Introduction to Transportation and Introduction to Construction courses.
  • Use assessment data to monitor student learning and adjust instruction.
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, staff, and the school community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and schoolwide goals.
  • Maintain appropriate classroom and student records.
  • Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school activities as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the responsibilities of a classroom teacher.
Qualifications
  • Appropriate Indiana teaching license or ability to obtain appropriate licensure.
  • Candidates with backgrounds or experience in social studies, construction, transportation, industrial technology, skilled trades, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom-management skills.
  • Ability and willingness to teach students across multiple grade levels.
  • Commitment to providing meaningful academic and hands-on learning opportunities for students.
