The Academy of Creative Technologies, Antelope Valley is a Media and Technology Charter School in Antelope Valley, California for K-12 grades. We are dedicated to providing a dynamic and innovative learning environment for our students. Our mission is to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and technological proficiency while fostering a supportive community.
JOB TITLE: 9-12 Grade Facilitator
REPORTS TO: Executive Director and Principal
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt / Full-Time
LOCATION: Academy of Creative Technologies - Antelope Valley
Position Overview:
The Academy of Creative Technologies - Antelope Valley (ACTAV) seeks an innovative and committed 9-12 Grade Teacher to join our interdisciplinary team of educators. ACTAV offers a flexible, hybrid instructional model grounded in project-based learning, career and technical education (CTE), and arts/media integration. Teachers at ACTAV serve as instructional leaders, academic advisors, and creative collaborators in shaping personalized learning plans and facilitating student success across A-G courses and CTE pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Curriculum Implementation
  • Design and deliver standards-aligned instruction using the Hello World curriculum and A-G approved frameworks.
  • Facilitate weekly instructional cycles that include project launches, mini-lessons, collaborative work, remediation, and student reflection.
  • Integrate arts, media, and technology to deepen student engagement in real-world problem solving.
Assessment & Graduation Readiness
  • Administer and track student progress on CAASPP, PSAT/SAT, and CTE pathway certification assessments.
  • Utilize a live Google-based Graduation Tracker to monitor academic progress and ensure all students remain on track for postsecondary success.
Advisory & ILP (Individual Learning Plan) Coordination
  • Conduct quarterly ILP planning and review meetings in collaboration with students, parents/guardians, and counselors.
  • Provide weekly advisory sessions focused on SEL, college and career readiness, and digital portfolio development.
Instructional Technology & Data
  • Use School Pathways, Google Workspace, and digital portfolios for grading, attendance, ILP tracking, and parent communication.
  • Analyze formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction, RTI grouping, and interventions.
Professional Collaboration & School Culture
  • Participate in professional learning communities, school events, and collaborative planning sessions.
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and creative learning environment that reflects ACTAV's mission to "Dream Big. Create Boldly."
  • Support a positive school culture through active engagement with students, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential or CTE credential relevant to subject area
  • Experience with project-based learning, interdisciplinary instruction, or CTE pathways (preferred)
  • Strong digital literacy and proficiency with Google Workspace and educational platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to support diverse learners through differentiated and inclusive practices
  • Background in one or more creative or technical disciplines (e.g., visual arts, digital media, storytelling, IT)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to equity, innovation, and continuous professional growth

Compensation:
Compensation is competitive and aligned with ACTAV's teacher salary schedule. Placement will be based on experience and credentials. ACTAV offers a comprehensive benefits package, including STRS contributions (if eligible), health coverage, and paid leave.
