This is a fully remote position based in Vallejo, California, affiliated with a reputable community health clinic. Our team works collaboratively from various locations, leveraging telehealth technology to provide efficient and effective mental health support. You can create your own schedule within our operating hours of Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance without the demands of on-call services.

• Conduct individual therapy sessions via secure video conferencing platforms, empowering clients to explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential environment.
• Implement treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs, utilizing evidence-based practices and a solution-focused approach drawn from your clinical expertise.
• Foster a therapeutic alliance by encouraging open conversation about clients’ emotional states and life experiences, enabling insight and personal growth.
• Act as a dedicated client advocate, supporting individuals in articulating their personal goals and challenges while navigating their mental health journey.
• Monitor and document progress meticulously within our electronic health record system to ensure compliance with clinical standards and quality assurance measures.

You will primarily work with adults experiencing low-acuity mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders. Our approach is not crisis-driven; rather, we focus on maintenance and stabilization of mental health, supporting clients in developing coping strategies and resilience through thoughtful interventions.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• Possession of a valid and independent mental health license: LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
• Demonstrated proficiency in technology and electronic health record systems is necessary for efficient service delivery.

• Experience providing virtual mental health counseling is strongly preferred to ensure seamless engagement with clients through telehealth systems.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and a history of successful client relationships will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
• Previous experience advocating and supporting clients in a therapeutic setting, coupled with strong crisis management skills, is highly advantageous.
