Position: Counselor

Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing Multisystemic Therapy (MST) to youth ages 11 to 17 that display serious antisocial behaviors and are at-risk of placement out of the home due to their behaviors. Our MST program is built on the principle that the serious behavior problems of a child typically stem from a combination of influences including family factors, deviant peer groups, problems in school or the community, and individual characteristics. The MST model calls for simultaneously addressing all of those inter-related areas. As an MST Therapist you carry a caseload of seven families, and you are trained to provide intensive treatment in the community and homes to families.

Job Requirements:

Preferably masterโ€™s degree in social work, counseling, or other human services field. Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or other human services field will be considered. Clinical competence in family therapy, behavioral therapy, child development, crisis management, assessment and treatment of psychiatric problems in youth. Ongoing assessments and treatment reviews are performed on a regular basis.
