  • Maintaining, setting up, and executing food production and quality control for all meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks, seasonings, and other food items prepared across broiler, saute, grill, and other assigned stations
  • Completing all necessary food and station preparations prior to the opening of the restaurant and dining outlets so guests are served promptly and efficiently throughout service
  • Maintaining your post on the kitchen line during operating hours, preparing food to order at the highest standards of efficiency, productivity, and quality
  • Preparing and displaying buffet food items according to Pyramid Global Hospitality and Marriott standards
  • Preparing food for banquets as required, following the specifications of Banquet Event Orders accurately and on time
  • Preparing and serving food for the associate cafeteria as specified by restaurant leadership
  • Using production charts as specified by Pyramid Global Hospitality and Marriott standards throughout food preparation
  • Breaking down buffets and the kitchen line at the end of each meal period, storing all food and equipment properly
  • Working banquet food stations as scheduled by restaurant leadership
  • Assisting with the storage and rotation of food items according to hotel procedures, including proper labeling, dating, and placement
  • Maintaining the Clean as You Go policy throughout every shift; cleanliness and sanitation are not an afterthought here, they are part of the job
  • Operating and maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment throughout the shift
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of all storage areas at all times
  • Practicing safe work habits at all times to protect yourself and your fellow associates
  • Knowing the location and proper operation of all fire extinguishing equipment on property
  • Being familiar with all hotel policies, house rules, and emergency procedures
  • Signing keys in and out under supervision as needed and maintaining proper key control practices
  • Approaching all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, professional, and service-oriented manner
  • Attending meetings as required by management and performing additional duties as requested by leadership

What We're Looking For
  • A genuine passion for food and the culinary craft; you care about the quality of what you produce and it shows in your work
  • A thorough working knowledge of menus and food preparation techniques across multiple stations and cooking methods
  • The ability to convey information and ideas clearly and communicate effectively with your team and leadership
  • The ability to evaluate situations quickly and make good decisions under pressure without losing your composure
  • The ability to work well in high-pressure, fast-paced situations while maintaining quality and professionalism
  • A genuine commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards; you do not take shortcuts
  • Reliable attendance and a flexible schedule; kitchen operations vary based on business needs and you are ready for that
  • A warm, friendly, and team-first attitude with guests and associates at all times
  • A self-directed work ethic; you take ownership of your station and you do not wait to be told what needs to be done next

What are we looking for?
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related culinary field is preferred

  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. as needed
  • Comfortable with bending, reaching, and sustained physical activity throughout the shift
  • Flexible availability to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Physical Requirements
This is a physically active role for the full duration of every shift. You should be comfortable standing and moving continuously in a high-heat, fast-paced kitchen environment, lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs., and bending and reaching throughout the course of your work. Physical stamina and comfort with sustained activity at a consistent pace are important parts of performing this role well.
Who Thrives Here
The Cooks who truly excel here are the ones who bring real ownership to their station. They arrive prepared, they set up right, they execute with consistency, and they clean as they go without being reminded. They communicate with their teammates. They step in to help without being asked. They take pride in every plate that leaves their station because they know it represents not just their work, but this entire team and this property.
They also understand that great kitchens are built on great habits. The way you handle your station during the slow moments determines how you perform during the rush. If you are someone who takes those details seriously and brings that kind of professionalism to work every day, you are going to do well here and there is real room to grow.
