Job Summary
Provide Operational Planning Analysis support to the MARCENT Plans and Policy Directorate (G-5) for development of MARCENT support plans in the USCENTCOM AOR, with a focus on the Levant region.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Develop MARCENT support plans in the USCENTCOM AOR with a focus on the Levant region
  • Participate in USCENTCOM conferences and planning product reviews; prepare responses for MARCENT submission
  • Provide planning expertise on Component supporting plans for Combatant Command OPLANs and CONPLANs
  • Provide contingency planning expertise for joint, bi-lateral, and multi-lateral plans
  • Attend joint, bi-lateral, multi-lateral, and coalition planning conferences/working groups; provide IPRs to COMUSMARCENT
  • Develop assessments, briefs, information papers, and standard naval messages supporting strategic, policy, campaign, and posture plans
  • Support planning, coordination, and management of conferences and internal MARCENT working groups
  • Attend CENTCOM Battle Rhythm events and provide contingency planning support for emergent efforts

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant regional/operational planning experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Regional expertise in Levant-area political-military affairs
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
  • Strong coordination and writing skills
  • Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Work is generally performed in a standard office environment at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida. Must be able to sit, stand, and use computer equipment for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.

Travel
  • Travel required to support USCENTCOM planning conferences and working groups.
