GFT is seeking a Construction Engineering Inspector to join our Construction Services team in the Seattle area!ย

We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety andย quality standards.

What you'll be challenged to do:This position is responsible for reporting directly to construction sites to observe and document contractor's work conforms to contract requirements, maintaining project files/documentation, compiling and calculating quantities of work performed to be used in calculating monthly contractor payments, and interacting with clients on a regular basis.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare Daily Reports
  • Prepare Project Progress Reports
  • Monitor and Coordinate Quality Assuance Testing
  • Measure Quantities
  • Monitor Contractor Progress
  • Assist with Payment Applications and Change Orders
  • Assist with Project Filing System
  • Perform Constructability Reviews
  • Address Technical issues in the field
What you will bring to our firm:ย 

Preferred BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

Minimum high school degree with +2 years continued higher level education

Must possess a driver's license to fulfill the essential functions of the position

Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Good communication skills
