Position Summary

Theย Complianceย & Riskย Leadย serves as theย central pointย ofย coordination for Panoramaย Globalโ€™sย day-to-day compliance and risk environment. This roleย is responsible forย activelyย monitoringย theย organizationโ€™s operational exposure,ย triagingย andย responding to emerging issues, and ensuring ongoing adherence to statutory, regulatory, and governance requirements across a complex, multi-entity structure.ย 

This is a hands-on, operational role focused on real-time visibility, responsiveness, and follow-through. Theย Complianceย & Risk Lead maintainsย the systems,ย policies, processes, and relationships needed to ensure the organization is compliant, protected, and able to respond quickly to evolving risks.ย 

Working across Panorama Global and affiliated entities, this role partners closely with Finance, Business Strategy & Operations, Grants & Contracts,ย Socialย Impact,ย andย the People & Culture Team to ensure compliance and risk management are embedded in how workย actually happens.ย This role does not involve cybersecurity, IT audit, or work on SOC/ISO/NIST frameworks.

This position is remote-eligible and open to applicants nationwide; however, preference will be given to candidates based in Seattle or New York who can work in a hybrid capacity.

Core Responsibilities ย 

1. Statutory & Regulatory Complianceย ย 

  • Own andย maintainย all organizational statutory compliance requirements, including:ย ย 

  • Corporate/entity registrations and renewalsย ย 

  • Federal, state, and local filingsย ย 

  • Annual reports and required disclosuresย ย 

  • Maintain related compliance calendars and ensure all filings are completed accurately and on timeย ย 

  • Act as the system of record for organizational compliance obligations and documentationย 

2.ย ย Ongoing Risk Monitoring & Exposure Managementย ย 

  • Continuouslyย monitorย the organizationโ€™s operational risk and compliance environment across functions and entities.ย ย 

  • Maintain and evolve dashboards, registers, and tracking tools that reflect the organizationโ€™s current exposure in real time.ย 

  • Maintain visibility into emerging risks, gaps, and exposure areas to ensure they areย identifiedย early and addressed proactively.ย ย 

  • Track and manage risk and compliance issues through resolution, ensuring clear ownership and follow-through.ย ย 

  • Serve asย aย point of contact for risk and compliance-related questions, issues, and escalations across the organization.ย ย 

  • Triageย incoming issuesย and questions, assess risk level, and determineย appropriate responseย or escalation pathย to the appropriate subjectย matterย expert.ย ย 

  • Coordinate cross-functional responses to compliance and risk issues, including engaging legal counsel as needed.ย ย 

  • Provideย practical guidance to teams navigating compliance requirements, balancing risk with operational needs.ย 

3. Legal Entity Compliance & Global Oversightย 

  • Monitorย corporateย complianceย across multiple legal entities, including domestic and international structures.ย ย 

  • Ensureย each entityย remainsย in good standing and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements.ย ย 

  • Coordinate global compliance requirements,ย partneringย acrossย departmentย functions, withย projects,ย andย external advisors as needed.ย ย 

4. Governance & Enterprise Risk Supportย 

  • Support organizational governance processes related to risk and compliance, including:ย ย 

    • Annual enterprise risk assessmentย ย 

    • Board and Audit & Finance Committee reportingย ย 

    • Ongoing risk visibility for leadershipย ย 

  • Maintain and evolve risk registers and support leadership in understanding organizational risk postureย ย 

Supporting Responsibilitiesย ย 

  • Develop andย maintainย key compliance-related policies (data protection, record retention, internal controls, etc.)ย ย 

  • Ensure policies are operationalized and adopted across teamsย ย 

  • Serve as point of contact for data privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)ย ย 

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on data protection practicesย ย 

  • Support administration of insurance programs and alignment with organizational risk exposureย ย 

  • Support crisis management and business continuity efforts from a compliance and risk perspectiveย ย

Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Experienceย 

  • 6โ€“8+ years in compliance, risk,ย insurance,ย legal operations,ย audit, or similar rolesย ย 

  • Strong experience managing statutory compliance and filings across multipleย jurisdictionsย ย 

  • Experienceย operatingย in multi-entity and/or global environmentsย ย 

  • Ability to assess risk quickly and make practical, defensible decisionsย ย 

  • Acts as central escalation point for enterprise compliance issues spanning multiple teams or functionsย 

  • Strong organizational systems mindset (tracking, dashboards, registersโ€”not just strategy)ย ย 

  • Familiarity with nonprofit compliance (501(c)(3), grant requirements) preferredย ย 

  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) preferredย
