Job description

Summary:
A bit about us:
We are two caring, easy-going families who are good friends who had babies around the same time. We both have an older child who will be at preschool the whole day so the focus is on our infants. We enjoy traveling, community, and playing with our kids. We value kindness, creativity, honesty, and collaboration. We are looking for someone who will become a trusted extension of our families and provide loving, attentive care in a positive and engaging environment to our infants. This will be a nanny-share for approximately 4-5 months, but will continue for another month or two with my family full-time, with 1 parent who works from home.
My daughter will be 5 months old at the start of the nanny share; she likes her toy piano, smiling, being sung to, and being talked to! She's pretty calm and observant.
My friend's daughter will be 6 months old at the start and likes cuddles, attention, and being held. She is a happy baby and enjoys stimulating activities and music.
A bit about you:
You are a patient, joyful, and nurturing nanny. You are a calm yet creative caregiver who isn't afraid to be silly and engaging to create a stimulating environment, while also maintaining gentle boundaries and supporting the girls' self-expression as they grow. You're a proactive communicator who will share observations on health and development, offer professional suggestions, and remain flexible with scheduling. You are confident in managing two infants but not afraid to ask questions.
Job Duties: Provide attentive care for two infants in a nanny share setting, which will usually be at the same home where there are no pets, plan and engage in age-appropriate developmental activities, read, sing, talk, and interact throughout the day, stroller walks, maintain children's routines and daily schedules, warm and monitor prepared meals for children, assist with cloth diaper maintenance routines for one of the infant and disposable diapers for the other infant, child-related cleanup and light household support include baby laundry unloading the dishwasher during downtime, and coordinate with parents through open communication. Infrequently, the nanny share setting will be at a home where there is a cat and dog; however, both animals will be put away so that no animal interaction or care will be required.
Position Highlights:
  • Guaranteed 40 Hours
  • W-2 Payroll
  • Accrued Sick Pay
  • Major Paid Holidays
  • Vacation Pay
  • Duration: 6 months (Ends Dec 23, 2026)

Qualifications: You have 3+ years of childcare experience with infants/toddlers, experience caring for multiples or infants close in age, pediatric CPR-certified (or willing to get), reliable transportation, no allergies when working in a house where cat and dog fur are present, strong communication skills, flexible to work later with prior communication, willing to abstain from wearing strong perfumes/scents, can abide by "no screen time" policy with the babies, willing to take a drug screen, and comfortable working in a collaborative care environment
Set yourself apart (Nice-to-have): You have experience with twins or nanny shares, a background in Child Development, Newborn Care Specialist experience or are bilingual (any language with a preference for Japanese, Portuguese, or Spanish).
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8a-4/5p*) *on average 2 days a week will be 9 hours with 2 months advance notice.
Starting July 6th!
Pay: $32-$38 an hour for Nanny Share (July-Oct/Nov 2026)
$25-$30 an hour for 1 infant (Oct/Nov 2026 to Dec 2026)
**All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired.
