Job description

Description Title: Lecturer (Piano Accompanist) Position Number: pending Hiring Unit: College of Arts, Languages, and Letters, Department of Music Location: Manoa Date Posted: June 21, 2021 Closing Date: Continuous Salary Information: Minimum $1,978 per credit hour. Commensurate w/qualification and experience. Full Time/Part Time: Part Time Temporary/Permanent: Temporary Other Conditions: For placement in lecturer pool beginning Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026.

Positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure, and contingent upon course offerings, sufficient student enrollment, position clearance, and availability of funds. Duties and Responsibilities Accompany choirs, opera workshop, voice classes, and/or other accompanying assignments as needed. Hours must be flexible to accommodate some evening or weekend rehearsals.

Meeting course requirements as established by the department. Minimum Qualifications Experience in accompanying. Master's degree in music or equivalent training and/or professional experience.

Desirable Qualifications Extensive accompanying experience. Master's degree in piano or collaborative piano or equivalent professional experience.
